Art Coaching

Career and Life Coaching for Artists

I work with artists who want sustain or improve their careers, and those who are just beginning to enter the marketplace.

I support you in making informed decisions about your career development, as well as assist in meeting those goals.

It is a solution-oriented approach, which involves working with you to see what concrete steps you can take to achieve career objectives. Learn to create breakthrough results.

  • — Understand where you are right now in your career.
  • — Create and follow an action plan.
  • — Create more visibility and become business savvy.
  • — Develop presentation tools, including website planning.
  • — Learn to generate feature articles in newspapers and online.
  • — Develop strategies to exhibit and sell your artwork.
  • — Social media: learn which work best for you, and how to use them.

I have successfully coached artists in COJECO’s Fellowship program, as well as artists of the Jewish Art Salon, both in online sessions and in person.

Some of the COJECO projects I helped come to fruition:

Chavruta Chatting Space        Re-Turn         The Art Sprinter        IDF Project

Inseparable Borders         100 Views of New Jerusalem         Speak Memory

Yona and I worked closely together at getting me a solo exhibit at the Columbia/Barnard Kraft Center. There were a lot of moving parts: an international group exhibition, my solo exhibition and several art events during the run of the show. Yona was impressively easy to work with, and clear about directions and organization. Her big picture thinking and professional personality created the atmosphere of success that the events proved to be.

Yona is an incredible asset to any artist who knows her. Her many connections to the NYC Jewish Art network make her an invaluable resource.

Sarah Lehat, Communications Director at TOTAH Gallery, NYC

Yona was a pleasure to work with for my exhibition and artist’s talk at the Kraft Center. She is very professional and organized, and because of her vision the exhibition was a great success. She knows her primary community but also knows how to spark new interest and dialogue. Her enthusiasm is so great that she makes magical projects come to life.
