Jewish Art and Augmented Reality: an Art-making Workshop on Art and Inspiration in Dialogue.

With Cynthia Beth Rubin & Yona Verwer. Upcoming at the Mizel Museum, Denver, CO. Participants will creatively interpret Jewish source material and will learn how to enrich their imagery with this latest technology.

As a group, we will create colorful and expressive artworks based on traditional objects from the museum collection.

The participants’ creative artworks will then be enriched with Augmented Reality, revealing the cultural artifact/source material.  The A.R. imagery will be superimposed on the creative work, and will become visible with a smartphone or iPad.  We will discuss the conceptual dialogue between source and subject.

The results will be exhibited on the venue’s walls and on a blog, where viewers can see the images AND the augmented reality.
